Winter draws us into stillness, an inward season of quiet, waiting, and hope, when God’s light can feel especially precious during this time.
“The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone.” — The Book of Isaiah 9:2
The following prayer can be used as a standalone prayer or prayed slowly with your Anglican Rosary, letting each bead become a steady step into God’s peace. To begin this prayer start at the bottom of the rosary by holding the cross, then work your way up and around the loop of beads as guided below.

The Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Invitatory Bead
Lord, in this winter season, draw me close to Your warmth and light.
Cruciform Beads (repeat each time)
Faithful God, You are my shelter and my hope.
Weeks Beads (between each Cruciform)
❄️ Quiet my heart and still my rushing thoughts.
❄️ Be my light when days feel dim.
❄️ Teach me patience as I wait upon You.
❄️ Strengthen me when I feel weary.
❄️ Fill my home with Your peace.
❄️ Comfort all who feel lonely or grieving.
❄️ Renew my hope, for You are near.
Concluding with the Invitatory Bead
Hold me, O Lord, through the cold and lead me into Your joy.
The Cross
In Jesus’ name I pray.
Amen.
May God bless you with deep rest, steady hope, and gentle joy this winter.
