How to Pray the Saint Michael Chaplet: Step-by-Step Guide and Free PDF Printable

Home   Rejoice In Hope   How to Pray the Saint Michael Chaplet: Step-by-Step Guide and Free PDF Printable

The St. Michael Chaplet is a powerful devotional prayer that invokes the intercession of Saint Michael and the nine choirs of angels. It was given to a devout Servant of God, Antonia d'Astonac, in the 18th century after a vision in which Saint Michael revealed that he would grant spiritual protection to those who honor him with this chaplet. The chaplet consists of nine salutations to each of the nine choirs of angels, and it is concluded with four Our Fathers and Hail Marys.

Here is the Prayer of the St. Michael Chaplet:

Opening Prayer:
"O God, come to my assistance. O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen."

Salutation to the Choirs of Angels:
"Through the intercession of Saint Michael and the celestial Choir of Seraphim, may it please God to make us worthy to receive into our hearts the fire of His perfect charity. Amen."

"Through the intercession of Saint Michael and the celestial Choir of Cherabim, may it please God to make us worthy to receive into our hearts the fire of His perfect charity. Amen."

"Through the intercession of Saint Michael and the celestial Choir of Thrones, may it please God to make us worthy to receive into our hearts the fire of His perfect charity. Amen."

"Through the intercession of Saint Michael and the celestial Choir of Dominions, may it please God to make us worthy to receive into our hearts the fire of His perfect charity. Amen."

"Through the intercession of Saint Michael and the celestial Choir of Powers, may it please God to make us worthy to receive into our hearts the fire of His perfect charity. Amen."

"Through the intercession of Saint Michael and the celestial Choir of Virtues, may it please God to make us worthy to receive into our hearts the fire of His perfect charity. Amen."

"Through the intercession of Saint Michael and the celestial Choir of Principalities, may it please God to make us worthy to receive into our hearts the fire of His perfect charity. Amen."

"Through the intercession of Saint Michael and the celestial Choir of Archangels, may it please God to make us worthy to receive into our hearts the fire of His perfect charity. Amen."

"Through the intercession of Saint Michael and the celestial Choir of Angels, may it please God to make us worthy to receive into our hearts the fire of His perfect charity. Amen."

Concluding Prayer:
"O Glorious Prince, Saint Michael, chief and commander of the heavenly hosts, guardian of souls, vanquisher of rebel spirits, servant in the house of the Divine King, and our admirable conductor, you who shine with excellence and superhuman virtue, deliver us from all evil, who turn to you with confidence, and enable us by your gracious protection to serve God more and more faithfully every day."
