A Parents Prayer For Their Children

Praying for your children can bring peace and comfort to your heart as you seek God's guidance and wisdom. If you are concerned for your children and are not sure what to pray for, know that God hears all prayers spoken from the heart as Psalm 145:18 reminds us: "The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth."

You can begin by asking God to bless and protect your children. Pray that they may be surrounded by loving and caring people who will guide and nurture them towards a bright and hopeful future. Below is a prayer for parents to help them find the words to pray for their children:

Prayer For Children

Dear Lord,

I come before you today with a heart full of gratitude for the precious gift of children that you have bestowed upon me. Thank you for entrusting me with their care, and for giving me the privilege of being their parent.

Lord, I lift up my children to you and ask that you bless them with your love, protection, and guidance. Please watch over them and keep them safe from harm, both physically and spiritually. Guard their hearts and minds against the influences of the world that would seek to lead them astray.

I pray that you would give them wisdom beyond their years, that they may know your will for their lives and follow it wholeheartedly. Help them to grow in faith and to seek you in all things. May they be a light in the darkness, shining your love and grace to those around them.

Lord, I ask that you would surround my children with godly influences and provide them with strong, supportive relationships. Give them friends who will encourage and uplift them, and mentors who will guide and inspire them.

Finally, I pray that you would give me the strength and wisdom to be the parent that you have called me to be. Help me to love my children unconditionally, to guide them with patience and grace, and to model for them a life of faith and obedience to you.

Thank you, Lord, for the privilege of being a parent. I pray that my children would know and experience your love in a deep and meaningful way, and that they would walk in your ways all the days of their lives.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
