Healing Prayer for the Anglican Rosary

This prayer for healing the sick is formulated to be recited while using Anglican prayer beads, it is a general prayer for Christians around the globe who are in need of healing and it can be adapted to one person or a family by substituting us/they with individual names.

God cares for each of us and in that caring he welcomes us into his presence. When reaching out to God in prayer be present in the moment with a positive attitude while focusing on those persons who you are praying for to recover from illness.

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John each recount the healing prayer and ministry Jesus accomplished. These historic accounts of healing encompass a variety of maladies from blindness, deafness, and epilepsy, to fever, blood issues and more. In each situation, Jesus used his direct authority to cure the sick as he focused on the healing of the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.

Jesus explained that the thoughts a person has are key to achieving overall good health, that having a positive attitude and spirit is essential for well-being. (Matthew 15:17-20; Matthew 9:21-22)

The Cross

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

The Invitatory Bead

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:

As it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever. Amen.

The Cruciform Beads

O God of heavenly powers, by the might of your command you drive away from our bodies all sickness and all ill-health.

Be present in your goodness with your faithful servants, that their weakness may be banished and their strength restored, that their health be renewed, and they may bless your holy name, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The Weeks Beads

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health, comfort and relieve your sick servants and give your power of healing to those in need, that they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care.

The Last Cruciform Bead

The Lord is gracious and full of compassion,

Slow to anger and great in mercy.

The Lord is good to all,

And His tender mercies are over all His works.

The Dismissal Bead
(Invitatory Bead)

Father, thank you for hearing me. You always hear me.

The Cross

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us.

Amen
